King Curtis - Soul Twistin’ With The King! King Curtis was the last of the great R&B tenor sax giants. Born Curtis Ousley in Fort Worth, Texas, he came to prominence in the mid-'50s as a session musician in New York, recording, at one time or another, for most East Coast R&B labels.

A true soul/jazz/r&b classic. Also on this album are other tunes by King Curtis (several of them attempts to follow up the big hit with "sons of 'Soul twist' ") as well as a few Willis Jackson tracks in a similar R&B/rock & roll groove. This is a good King Curtis-domianted R&B compilation, essential for the aforementioned classic/5(2).
