Lyrics to 'Necrophiliac' by Slayer. Mortuaries, dead of night My body starts to rise In my mind the horror lives To feel death deep inside.

May 21,  · Slayer (Metal in general) sounds great on vinyl. I paid a boatload to get my classic Slayer LP's. Is there a more intense Metal/Thrash album than Reign in Blood? Comparing my vinyl to CD I found the CD's to sound a little more cloudy and not as dynamic. As stated, Hell Awaits isn't very well recorded and the vinyl version is just as poor as the CD.

I define this album as the most punk-ish album ever released by Slayer, "Kill Again" is a perfect example, all instruments are present in the mix (raw and primitive - remember it was released in ), particularly the bass, here it is preponderant and it shines in songs like At Dawn They Sleep - have to mention Dave Lombardo bashes his drumset in that memorable roll towards the end of it Reviews:

Slayer puts out another album, and this concoction was fresh and distinctive, if undernourished, on Hell Awaits. Sinister riffs with the most aggressive voice in metal highlight Dave Lombardo’s percussive blast-fest and an unholy amount of screaming guitar shredding.

There's a CD copy of Hell Awaits where the inside of the cover is mis-printed with the Show No Mercy lyrics. Sections of the artwork were taken without permission from Jean Giraud, otherwise known as Moebius. Recording information: Recorded by Ron Fair at Eldorado, Hollywood, and by Bill Metoyer at Track Record, Los Angeles.

Personal favorite 'Necrophiliac' has one of the most demonic riffs ever in the verse parts, dark and bleak, and Fast, as Slayer could only do. Everything about this album has "legendary" written all over it. And while it is highly praised to this day, it's a crime that it was Reviews:

If you're new to Slayer, I recommend Hell Awaits and/or even their follow-up album Reign in Blood as those two albums are very fast and thrashy (I originally bought Reign in Blood back in but I couldn't get into it at the time, but I listened to it again on a copied CD of the album recently - I decided to re-buy the album since)/5(41).
